A Job to be Done

The skip hire cost was absolutely monumental. She couldn't believe how much David had hired it out for. He was always very last minute and did stuff without researching alternatives. If he'd put in the legwork, he would have found the skip hire company right next to the auto traders. It was only about 2 miles away and they offered skips for hire at a cool 15% cheaper.

Anyway, she had other more pressing things to deal with - her driving instructor was due to arrive in an hour's time and she had a million and one different things to do before then. She cancelled the last lesson because of David, but she was determined not to cancel this one. One way or the other, she was going to be a qualified driver by the end of the year. She was learning auto rather then manual 'cos she preferred it. Might not be the in-thing to do as David said, but she didn't care, she was going to learn what she wanted to learn - and that was auto. It's not as if David was coughing up the money for the car she planned to buy so he had no right to tell her what type of lessons to learn.The instructor arrived at 2 on the dot and she was out the door before David could say or do anything. He and the kids would just have to take care of themselves for a few hours.The insurance group sent a letter the other day with the quote she'd asked for. They were a bit pricey - pricier than she expected. She'd have to shop around for a cheaper deal from another insurance group. She really didn't mind the research. She enjoyed it.The instructor was quite impressed with her driving today. Told her she wasn't too far from qualifying. It never occurred to her to ask him if he knew of a really good insurance group that was affordable. An instructor was bound to know, surely. And he did. He gave her a list of 5 companies she could try. A few of them looked quite promising.
