"I saw you last Friday. Your driving scared me. Where did you take your driving lessons? Have you passed your driving test? I thought I was going to get a heart attack. Where did you learn to drive like that? Were they some kind of cheap driving lessons?" Mima shouts at me.
"I have no idea what you are talking about. I did not drive my car last Friday. I was going around on my motorcycle on Friday. I have been going around on my motorcycle since last Tuesday. You must have mistaken me for someone else!" I tell Mima. "Did you actually see me?"
"Well, I did not see you. I saw your car. It had to be you."
"I sent my car for repair and I have not seen it since Tuesday. Are you sure it was my car?"
Mima thinks hard, trying to recall the incident. "Well, I could be mistaken. It did look like your car. No one else in this neighbourhood drives a red car like yours."
"Do you think someone is driving my car around? Oh my goodness! What if my car is stolen? I don't think I am covered by my insurance for that! I don't think insurance groups cover that!"
"I am pretty sure some insurance groups do cover for car theft. Why don't you check with your insurance company? Anyway, let's not jump into conclusion. Why don't you call up the mechanic who is repairing your car? Ask him. Perhaps I was mistaken about your car. For all we know, your car is safe with the mechanic," says Mima.
"Yes. I should do that. I should call up the mechanic to know if my car is safe. I pray that it is. When that is done, I need to check with the insurance company. Which company, do you think, covers car theft?"
"How many insurance groups are you tied with?" Mima asks me.
"Only one."
"Then, just call that one. There is no reason for you to call the other companies when you don't even buy any coverage from them. Those other companies won't care if your car is safe," Mima snaps at me.
I nod my head as I turn my attention to the ringing tones. No one picks up the phone. I am getting worried. After 3 more attempts, Mima senses my anxiety.
"I think you should go over and check it out. Where's your motorcycle? I'll go with you," says Mima.
