I just arrived in UK. I am here with a student visa and I am looking for a part time job so I can earn tuition money. I was advised by a friend that I can try to get driving instructor courses so I can apply as a driving instructor.
I had to visit the website of the Driving Standards Agency or dsa in order for me to get more information on these. As soon as I learned the nooks and crannies of motor trade and safe driving, I immediately decided that it wouldn't be that hard to look for a job if I just manage to find a good school that offers driving instructor courses.
On the web, I found several schools offering a certification for driving instructors but they didn't look authentic. I decided to just ask friends instead because I didn't want to be in trouble. I did not want to risk being asked to leave UK just because of a stupid mistake. I had worked so hard just to manage to haul my ass in this country. My dreams and goals that I have set for myself would all go to waste if they revoked my student visa.
When I called Sheena, she told me she did not have information about driving instructor courses but she would ask somebody from school who used to work a driving instructor a few months ago. A day after Sheena called me back and told me she could not really understand what her friend was saying so she just arranged for me to meet him so we could talk about it. I told her, I was basically free most of the day and for her to feel free to arrange for us to meet. She said she wanted to join us as well since she has not seen me for a while. I told her that was a great idea since I really missed her.
Sheena and I met with Brandon the next day and Brandon was kind enough to offer to help me apply at a school that offers driving instructor courses at a very reasonable price. He also teased that I would probably earn more than him if I looked for male, adolescent students. When I asked why, he said I was pretty and looked really innocent that I could pass off as a teenager myself. I laughed so hard but was really flattered.
I thanked Brandon and he asked me for my number just in case I'm was just looking for somebody to hang out with. I gave it to him. I kind of liked the guy anyway.
