One afternoon, my manager called me saying I should drop by his office

One afternoon, my manager called me saying I should drop by his office before I go home. I began worrying and kept thinking what have I done wrong this time. As time went by, it's finally 5:00pm. Time for me to meet my manager at his office. It was a short talk. He just informed me that I'll be working in the night shift for the next three months. I didn't complain, I just told my manager that it wouldn't be a problem for me.

Later that night, I realized that I don't know how to drive. Everyday I ride a bus from house going to the office and vice versa. And bus schedules are only until 6pm. I started to panic, it'll be seven days from now and I'll be working at night. How am I suppose to get to work if I don't drive myself to the office? I thought I could just borrow my brother's scooter every night, that wouldn't be an issue for him. But first I need to know how to drive.

The next morning, I started to look for driving schools. I called information and got three listings for driving schools that offer automatic driving lessons. The first one I dialled, I thought I was lucky because they do offer automatic driving lessons but I need to pass the theory test first. I wasn't confident with myself that I'd pass the test and so I tried the second number. Unfortunately the second number was a none working number. I dialled the last one, it went through. Sad thing is, that driving school doesn't offer lessons for women. Now I felt so worried.

The following day, a co-worker and I ate lunch together. I mentioned to her that I'm looking for a school that's offering automatic driving lessons for women. She told me she knows one that offers the same thing, that's where she learned how to drive last month. I was so happy to hear from her that I treated her free lunch the following day.

The whole weekend, I went to school and took my automatic driving lessons. I also found out from the instructor that this is the only driving school in town that offers lessons for women. Plus they don't have those tests that one needs to take just to be able to learn how to drive. After two weeks of practising, I can say I consider myself a good driver. Just in time for night shifts.
